What if I told you there’s a restaurant in London by One Tower Bridge and ALL they do is prosecco? Yeah, exactly – I was just as excited when I first heard about Prosecco House! This is actually London’s first bar dedicated entirely to prosecco, and showcases twenty different proseccos, all hand-picked by owner Kristina Issa herself.
Romantic Spaces
The interior of Prosecco House is beautiful. It’s tucked in towards the back of the One Tower Bridge area, away from the riverside, and overlooking a beautiful water feature, complete with romantic lights and all. This brought me back to Las Vegas and the beautiful water show at the Bellagio, but, of course, on a much, much, much smaller scale. But it’s the memory that counts. (Never seen the Bellagio water show? Check out this clip. And, yes, the water really does get that loud.)
The restaurant itself is just as romantic, with dozens of prosecco bottles lining the bar, and the most colourful and the silkiest sofas and chairs and golden tables populating the space.
Cocktails with Prosecco & Prosecco with Prosecco
Prosecco House also offers some very unique prosecco-based cocktails. I tried the Russian Spring Punch, with vodka, fresh raspberries, crème de framboise, crème de cassis, lemon juice, and PH prosecco (£12.50). They’re not lying when they say punch and this cocktail has quite a kick to it – but it was absolutely divine.
We followed this with a glass of the Col Del Forno Brut Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG (£9.50), a beautifully easy-drinking prosecco that perfectly matched the romantic atmosphere and would be great for any sundowner, after-work event, or pre-theatre / pre-dinner drink.
Prosecco House also has a few nibbles on their menu, ranging from mixed nuts (£3.50), which I tried and loved, to Gorgonzola chunks (£4), artichoke hearts (£4.50), and prosciutto di parma (£6).
