The South African Virtual Landscape

Ok, so this is a post with a difference and it really has nothing to do with food. But, we thought it super interesting to see what the South African Virtual Landscape looks like. What do South Africans post about? What are the most-used hashtags? What do our social habits say about where we like to eat and hang out and party at?

That’s exactly what this South African Virtual Landscape report is all about. The report was created by PropertyFox in order to analyse property trends, but turns out some interesting other tidbits came up as well.

For example, did you know that Camps Bay is the most hashtagged neighbourhood in South Africa? Saaay what! Beach days for the win, and an absolute bonus for all the restaurants in the area. And some of the most hashtagged sights in Cape Town include Table Mountain, Chapman’s Peak, the V&A Waterfront, and Kirstenbosch.

But the report doesn’t only focus on Cape Town. Obviously. As the South African Virtual Landscape report, all of South Africa gets included. So it doesn’t matter where you’re from, you’ll get some marvellous facts from the below images. Not to make your foodie choices better, not to give you recommendations, but simply coz we wanted to share something that we found to be very, very cool.

So check out all the images below for the full South African Virtual Landscape report – and let us know what you think by hitting us up on social media or commenting on the post!
