The One & Only Cape Town could easily be one of the most romantic spots in the city. It might be smack-bang in the centre of the city and at the heart of the V&A Waterfront, but it is also completely cut off from the world and offers its own unique charm. Indeed, venturing into the resort instantly transports you to a tropical island, where everything is beautiful and romantic. Lucky, then, that the One & Only is celebrating Valentine’s Day in style this year – and you’re invited to join!

Get Yourself Ready First

The One & Only Cape Town Spa is one of the best in the city, and you’ll be spoiled from head to toe if you visit them. They may not currently be offering any Valentine’s Day specials but if you want to treat your loved one (or treat yourself, you sexy single), then look no further. You can jump over to our full review of the One & Only Spa experience here. But be warned: It’ll leave you wanting more!

Afternoon Tea

If you’re fully pampered, you may as well grab your significant other or your girlfriends and join the One & Only for a gorgeous Afternoon Tea experience. It offers savoury bites, gorgeous tartlets, and the most wonderful selection of teas – which can all easily be converted into sweetened or unsweetened iced teas! For Valentine’s Day, the One & Only is offering a special red-velvet-themed Afternoon Tea, which is available to both resort and outside guests. The Valentine’s Day Afternoon Tea with Love costs R520 per person. It will be served from 14:30 till 17:30 all Valentine’s Weekend (14 – 16 February).

Dinner Parties

The One & Only Cape Town boasts two fantastic restaurants – the internationally acclaimed Japanese-style Nobu, as well as the South African Ochre. For Valentine’s Day, Nobu will be offering a six-course “Omakase” menu. Signature dishes are included, and the menu is available at R2 200 per person. Ochre will be offering it’s South African flair with a four-course dinner, with an optional wine pairing. This menu is available at R1 100 per person.

Diners at either restaurant will receive a framed couple’s photograph, making the night truly unforgettable. Both restaurants will also provide dinner and post-dinner entertainment.

Staying In

If a day of pampering, tea, and dinner isn’t enough, then you can also check in to the hotel and enjoy two more special Valentine’s Day treats: The Valentine’s Breakfast and the Romantic Picnic.

Hotel breakfasts are always great, and the One & Only Cape Town hotel breakfast, as anyone who’s ever been can attest to, is phenomenal! The Valentine’s Breakfast turns all of this up a notch. If you’re in the mood for a Romantic Picnic, then the One & Only also has you covered!
