HYPERJAPAN – A Unique Japanese Food & Culture Event This Weekend in London!!!

HYPERJAPAN

HYPERJAPAN, a unique event giving independent traders the chance to showcase Japanese street snacks. For any food lover, and especially for a food lover like me who’s currently obsessed with all things Asian, this sounds like a dream come true – and it’s hitting the city of London this weekend, Friday 16 November – Sunday 18 November at Olympia London!

EAT-JAPAN

The highlight for us foodies, of course, is EAT-JAPAN, offering authentic Japanese tastes. There are various stalls on offer, bringing guests everything from authentic Japanese confectionary to delicious Katsu. In addition, there will be two unique tasting experiences, The Ramen Experience and The Sake Experience.

Guests participating in the Ramen Experience will be given three classic broths to try – Shoyu (Soy), Tonkotsu (Pork), and Paitan (Chicken) – and will then have the chance to enjoy a full bowl of their favourite, together with classic Ramen toppings. The Sake Experience allows guests to sample different Japanese rice wines, liquors, craft beers, and Chu-Hi, a popular Japanese alcopop drink. Guests will also be able to try Namazake, an extremely scarce unpasteurised ‘live’ sake, flown in especially from Japan.

HYPERJAPAN

Japanese Culture

Of course HYPERJAPAN isn’t only about the food. Visitors can also browse the Japanese market (perhaps for some early Christmas gift shopping?) or get a glimpse into long-established Japanese traditions, try out exciting products, and enjoy live demonstrations of both modern and traditional Japanese arts, including martial arts, calligraphy, and traditional dance! In addition, there are also activity stations, where visitors can produce their own calligraphy works, enjoy table games, or practise Origami.
